Sketch showing the same lateral view of the lower spine as in Figure 1 but in a patient affected by spondylolisthesis. You can notice the modification of the relationship between L5 and the sacrum (S1). An abnormal kyphosis position is evident, and as shown on the diagram, the forces applied on L5 are no longer centered above the hip joint.
